We’re looking for an experienced studio manager to join our team of ten to run the day-to-day management of our workshop. Reporting directly to the founders, this is a role that involves liaising with the production, decorating and packing teams to ensure orders are being made, processed and packed on schedule and that they reach the exacting quality standards that our customers expect from us. This is a full time role from Monday to Friday, the successful candidate will be based at our Tedburn-St-Mary workshop. 

This role would suit a highly organised individual who is capable of taking charge and making independent decisions with excellent communication skills. It involves spinning many plates (sometimes literally!) and being able to work closely within a team and independently. The right candidate will be very process driven and an excellent problem solver. We’re looking for someone who has experience in a similar role and is excited to be part of a fast growing business. 

Responsibilities will include the following: 

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the workshop and the teams within
  • Overseeing the studio space is maintained and kept clean
  • Create, own and manage the production critical path, liaising with the production team and our suppliers to place PO’s and ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee and manage the day to day progress of our wholesale orders
  • Use Unleashed software to manage and track orders, POs and stock 
  • Input & raise PO’s in Unleashed software 
  • Solve production issues as they arise and communicate any associated delays and contingency planning to relevant teams
  • Manage the efficient outbound shipping of ware to the UK & overseas
  • Manage QC ensuring quality standards are met
  • Pack and oversee packing of orders for both DTC and wholesale clients, making sure our meticulous qc standards are met
  • Booking and managing courier collections
  • Assess the capacity and capabilities of our supplier network, planning for future growth and product development to ensure we continue to operate efficiently
  • Develop good relationships with existing and new suppliers and stockists
  • Source new suppliers for new product needs (packaging, etc) and to mitigate risk for existing 
  • Negotiate and establish payment terms with both existing and new suppliers when required

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Highly organised and process driven
  • A can-do attitude and dedication to the job in hand
  • Experience with Unleashed or equivalent system
  • Excellent communicator
  • Good at multi tasking and wearing many hats
  • Comfortable negotiator, able to manage multiple stockist and supplier relationships
  • Good understanding of the luxury industry
  • Full driving licence and own transport - our workshop is rurally located and there is sadly no public transport nearby

*Please note that while this is not a physical role, it does involve lifting of heavy boxes and trays of ware on a regular basis.*
