Geranium, for lazy summer days
This summer is not quite like other summers - and so we’ve created a limited edition colour as an ode to long summer evenings when the possibility of hopping on a plane to a sandy isle has become quite a different kettle of fish. Introducing a bright bright red we’ve called Geranium. Influenced in part, if not wholly, by my obsession with Rosamund Pilcher novels and the way her characters are always surrounded by terracotta pots full of bright red geraniums on stone steps beneath unseasonably warm Cornish summer skies. Aka the dream.
Geranium is a red that seems to glow in those last long rays of a summer's evening. There are mugs for sipping those too-early dawn cups of tea, bowls for eating mountains of ripe peaches, plates for sharing a dusky supper. Ideally all in a bale-strewn-midge-free field watching the sun set over the moor. But also just to remind you of those evenings, to keep a slither of sunshine that'll keep you going all the way through til Spring.
