Father's Day Gift Ideas

Father's Day Gift Ideas

It’s Father’s Day on Sunday 17th June and just in case you’re struggling to find something that isn’t a DIY based cliche, check out our Father’s Day gift guide - ideas for a little something to last, because Dads are the BEST.

The best presents are those that go just that little bit further - so with a Cobalt Espresso Mug (blue for boys) include a bag of coffee beans from Monmouth, or give our Cobalt Tea Mug alongside a book you think your Pa might enjoy.  We can recommend our current reads: a fascinating history of mankind, ‘Sapiens’ by Yuval Noah Harari and Henry Marsh’s brilliant account of life as a brain surgeon, ‘Do No Harm’.

Dads are also ALL notoriously keen on gardening - so why not a garden tool made by our neighbours here in Devon. Greenman Garden Tools have been going for generations and are based just on the edge of Dartmoor, making garden tools inspired by the past with beautifully tactile Ash handles.

Or just go all out with a handmade knife from Pole & Hunt. We saw these being made at London Craft Week back in May - they are the most beautiful objects and the handles - made from local varieties of wood - are unbelievably smooth to the touch. The spalted Apple was our favourite, made from storm damaged local trees.

Scroll down for pictures - we hope this is helpful. Better than a novelty ice-cube mould, at any rate...
