Closing, just for now

Hello,

 As with it all out there, things got quite crazy quite quickly here at Feldspar HQ this week. The good news is (and let’s start with the good news, by jove do we need some) - we’re very lucky to have a wonderfully supportive and just generally amazing team here, and we should be able to navigate through this new world order more or less in one piece. At this moment our primary concern is to flatten the curve, so we are closing the workshop in Devon for the next three weeks, or until it is safe for our team to come back to work.

We started Feldspar to make good things properly, by hand, using high quality local materials - and to have fun along the way. Three years on we now have a team of 9 really wonderful, kind, hilarious, highly skilled and creative people in our Devon workshop, and we are the biggest client for our manufacturer Tony up in Stoke-on-Trent - a small multi-generational family business themselves. Looking after our friends up in Stoke and the health and financial security of our team down here in Devon is our priority, as well as ensuring that our collective actions are helping to flatten the curve and protect our health service. To this end, your support is invaluable in these difficult, extraordinary times, to enable us to keep on going whenever we are able to do so.

In an attempt to maintain a shred of normality, our WEBSHOP WILL REMAIN OPEN, and, for the next 3 weeks at least (or as long as stocks last) we're OFFERING 20% OFF EVERYTHING ONLINE. It'll be automatically applied at checkout, just bear with us on the postage, it won’t be snappy but it will reach you as soon as possible! We’ll be fulfilling orders a couple times a week (we live and work in isolated rural areas and we can fulfil orders without seeing a single soul), but if you need something urgently get in touch and we will of course try to sort something out.

We are incredibly lucky to be able to live and work where we do and we’ll be keeping in touch from our rural isolation in Devon over on our instagram - follow along here @feldsparstudio, we promise to do our best to keep things positive and upbeat! We’ve been working on some pretty weird and wonderful surrealist objects for an exhibition which seem quite apt in this strange world so we’ll be sharing those asap, plus we might even be able to finally finish the treehouse…
