Roan Tilting Mirror

Sale price£11,500.00
Tabletop material:

A tilting mirror, crafted from storm-felled Yew. The freestanding frame is meticulously shaped to form an elegant oblong and tilts to your preferred angle. The Yew holds a patchwork of contrasting colours within its grain, reminiscent of the roan coats of the Dartmoor ponies that roam the moors - hence the name of the mirror, also a nod to its form - a re-interpreted ‘cheval’ mirror.

The Roan Mirror sits on four carved and shaped feet, providing a strong base with carved Yew handles either side to adjust the angle of the mirror. The patina of the timber is showcased - even the back of the mirror is beautiful to behold. A timeless work of art.

Each mirror is handmade bespoke to order. Please contact us to discuss the finishes available.
