Frequently Asked Questions
Our Wares
We design and make everything in our workshops in rural Devon. Everything we produce is made by hand, for a more detailed look at how we make everything see here.
Yes! With the exception of our 24ct Gold collection, all our objects are dishwasher safe up to 60ºC. Some are too large to fit safely in most dishwashers – such as the oval serving bowl and platter, which is why we recommend hand washing in these instances. But if you’re able to safely fit it into your dishwasher then please go for it.
Our 24ct Gold collection is handwash only, and please do not use any abrasive cleaning utensils on them as this will scratch the surface of the gold. It’s real 24ct Gold. Not for scratching.
We do not recommend putting fine bone china in the microwave – our products are so finely cast that they get incredibly hot so can easily cause burns. Several of our glazes also contain gold (even the ones that aren't gold in colour!).
We recommend microwaving in Pyrex and decanting, always.
It depends on where you are in the world but as a general rule we try to dispatch orders within 24 hours of receiving them Monday to Friday. We ship with DHL who are usually very speedy and your parcel will be with you the next day.
As always, please email enquiries@feldspar.studio if you're in a particular hurry or you need something delivered on a specific date.
Yes of course! Just email us enquiries@feldspar.studio and we will send you a link to purchase.
We can create custom glaze colours bespoke for the right project – contact enquiries@feldspar.studio if you have a hankering for a specific handle colour for your mugs! Please note that fees and minimum orders apply.
Shipping & Delivery
Yes of course! You can include a gift note at checkout which will be hand-written onto a notecard and enclosed with a gift receipt within your parcel, making sending beautiful handmade presents incredibly easy!
Yes, we ship all over the world - just put your address in at checkout for tailored shipping rates. Please note that the UK VAT is automatically taken off at checkout if you are shipping abroad, but that local taxes and duties may be payable before you receive your order. They are usually roughly equivalent to the 20% UK VAT, they are just payable directly to our courier. If you have any queries or for quotes for larger international orders please email us at enquiries@feldspar.studio.
Packing up fine bone china is a tricky business, especially when there's no plastic bubblewrap involved. Everything we make comes in its own bespoke box, and all of our boxes are themselves handmade in England (just like their contents!) - and all from 100% recycled or sustainably sourced paper. Even our ‘bubblewrap’ is made from paper. All of our packaging is fully recyclable, or - even better - reusable - but designed to carefully keep your ceramics safe all the way to your door.
We do not charge duties and taxes on any order being shipped outside of the UK, but there may be local taxes and duties payable to our courier before your goods are delivered. These usually work out as roughly equivalent to the UK VAT that is automatically removed if you are shipping internationally.
