Striped Cake Plate

Part of our Stripe Collection. We have taken our classic fine bone china shapes and added some (minimal) decoration: stripes hand-drawn in cobalt meaning no two items are ever exactly the same. 

We wanted these stripes to echo the grain in wood or contours on a map - delicately emphasising the dimpled surface of our wares. Each object embraces the marks of the makers without detracting from the delicate shapes and tactile dimpled surface of our fine bone china - enhancing the uneven surface of the china rather than obscuring it. 

A cake plate, the perfect size for a slice of cake or warm scone heaped with clotted cream, then jam (the Devon way). Or to catch the juice from a clementine. Our smallest plate with a shallow dimpled lip. Handmade and hand-painted in our Devon studio.
